Sr. User Experience Designer | Omni Experiences | Oct. 2017–Present | Seattle, WA

  • Support the overarching design strategy and vision of Nordstrom Services – Styling, Alterations, and Fulfillment

  • Lead customer-centered design for Nordstrom's new Salesperson app 

  • Define, design and deliver a holistic app ecosystem that focuses on the customer and salesperson needs, future retail structure, usability findings, quantitative data, and analytics metrics 

  • Present and gain buy-in to app strategy and roadmap in partnership with the PM

  • Work closely with UX research and writing, product and program managers, and developers

  • Facilitate discovery workshops in order to define the app space and prioritization of needs 

  •  Create information architecture, user flows, wireframes, visual mockups, screen flows, interaction patterns, and prototypes

  • Collaborate with developers to ensure launching pixel perfect designs  

  • Host weekly design reviews with the core app team  

  • Present and review design work and future vision with larger app team including executives once a month in order to receive continuous feedback

Research

  • Oversees the global UX Lean User Testing Program as a data source for our agile teams and markets

  • Manages, maintains, and evolves the program framework including — documentation, process, methodologies, and best practices

  • Supervises agile teams to identify and prioritize research questions based on known knowledge and data to help set up quality research studies

  • Broadcasts research findings and insights to all relevant stakeholders

Design

  • Collaborated in the set-up of the Checkout agile team — the first team at adidas to adapt to agile methodologies

  • Researches and creates best practice benchmarks for checkout that helps to drive the backlog

  • Creates user-centric designs by considering customer feedback, usability findings, analytics, and business needs for topics including — hype launch (10 minute timer in checkout), promo communications, error handling, reactive and proactive chat, and delivery forms

  • Leads the UX & UI design process to implement ApplePay as a payment source in time for the 2016 holidays

Associate User Experience Designer & Researcher | Global eCommerce | April 2014 – Aug. 2016 | Amsterdam, NL

  • Created and managed the global user testing program, enabling the team to gain user insights on design concepts and current configurations

  • Determined the best methodologies for my team's research needs including — remote and moderated usability testing, surveys, best practice research, card-sorting, as well as concept and prototype testing

  • Led the research and user experience design of multiple projects and processes including — Click and Collect, product launch calendar, and promo communications

  • Designed the user experience and interface for various sections of the adidas and Reebok websites including — checkout, product listing pages, product description pages, filtering, and navigation

  • Formulated user journeys and flows, generated wireframes, created low and high level prototypes and pixel perfect screen mock-ups for desktop and mobile devices

  • Transitioned Reebok to the same front end user experience as adidas while staying true to Reebok's visual language
